The Seattle Mariners picked up injured closer Chad Cordero in the offseason. Cordero was a solid major league closer with the Washington Nationals for years. Foxsports reports that the Mariners are likely to use Cordero as mid season trade bait if they are out of contention early as they are expected to be.

Wow, wow, and wow. Those are the only three words I have to say after watching the MLB all star game the other night.

To me, that was the best All Star game I have ever seen. There was great pitching, great hitting, and some really good fielding. The game, which was featured in one of the greatest cities in the world, in one of the most historic ball parks, had everything to offer. With guys like Miguel Tejada playing short stop like Derek Jeter, J.D. Drew hitting like Mickey Mantle, and a guy named Nate Mclouth playing center like Willie Mays, this game was nothing short of spectacular. The only thing missing was the babe himself and maybe a slice of some apple pie.
