Lamar Odom

-10 preseason favorites to win the NBA title if they can stay intact -- by re-signing Trevor Ariza, Lamar Odom, Shannon Brown and retaining Zen Yoda Phil Jackson. Hopefully, their run to the '09 title taught them the toughness and blueprint required for another championship.

ne who can take a sunrise, sprinkle it with dew, cover it with chocolate and a miracle or two, then Lamar Odom's their man.

Otherwise, opt for Trevor Ariza.

NBA Finals play-by-play announcer Mike Breen posed the question during Game 4 against Orlando on Thursday night: Which of the Lakers' free agents should be the higher priority in the offseason? Ariza or the Candy Man?

Lamar Odom's offense in the fourth quarter was a huge reason the Los Angeles Lakers escaped in overtime of the NBA Finals' Game 2.

Odom also was the reason they didn't put the game away a lot sooner.

Day (a Memorial Day Massacre mini-me?), what Laker is focused, in sync and playing great defense?

Lamar Odom's play has been non-existent for a 7-foot (or 6-foot-10 or whatever he is on that given night) player on the interior. He's not rebounding or playing much defense, either. He's provided zero inside presence (where at least Bynum has been a threat).

I like it.).

If Kobe's Lakers are going to utilize home-court advantage and take this 2-2 series, Lamar Odom's going to have to step it up, dawg. You can't just score 7.5 points a game against Denver. They aren't the Clippers. Also, learn to box out. CHRIS ANDERSON SHOULDN'T HAVE MORE UPS THAN YOU. As someone who watched last night's humiliation, I can safely say the only thing more embarrassing to watch than Anderson jamming home the tip-in on a missed shot was his lamer version of TO's eagle routine, shouting a "wooooot" bird call to Denver's lame bird-loving fans as he ran backcourt. That, to me, was the epitomy of the bench differential. Denver's reserves are whooping Los Angeles'. Where's the depth? James Posey was a HUGE reason the Celtics won it all last year. At least their bench showed up.

w Bynum, putting together a sub-par effort with 10 points and just 3 rebounds, took more shots than Lamar Odom, Trevor Ariza, Sasha, and Jordan Farmar. On any given night, I expect each of those players to take more shots than Bynum. That's partly Kobe's fault. He needs to be looking to pass. The Houston Rockets are going to be tough and physical this entire series. They're going to expect Kobe to come at them, knowing this, and they'll double-team him. If Kobe doesn't pass the ball, or even look to pass, LA's in trouble.

After watching the Lakers get ransacked, raped, humiliated and emabarassed in the NBA Finals, Los Angeles Laker fans were left to ponder one thing this offseason....

 Whats next?

The Lakers have been flirting with the idea of trading for Ron Artest for the past few weeks and the name I hear thrown around a lot is Lamar. After Lamar refused to show up in the NBA Finals Laker fans were simply fustarted with Lamar, including myself. Lamar has always been hammered for his inconsistency, but this year was by far his best all around year. Lamar had his best numbers as a Laker this year and it seemed as if he got better once Pau arrived. Before the Finals started I thought Lamar would be the Lakers key factor but it turned out he laid an egg and left Kobe and Pau out to dry. So the questions remians. Do you leave Lamar out to dry becase of one poor series or is thier another move to be made?

For the Lakers that x-factor will probably be Lamar Odom, if he can take the slower Spur defenders of the dribble the Lakers will have an excellent chance to win. Overall, the Lakers are better equipped to slow down Tony Parker then the Spurs are to slow down
