Jason Repko

The Dodger bench also came up short once more, with Jason Repko failing to produce and still hitting .000 and Mark Sweeney failing to raise his average once again (it’s because he didn’t make an appearance, but still).

yone except the guy who gets to play in the big leagues in Furcal’s spot, who in this case is Jason Repko. Technically called up to replace the injured Juan Pierre, Repko had a busy hat day, trading his Las Vegas 51s cap for Dodger headgear and ultimately wearing the Golden Sombrero, striking out his first four appearance (in the leadoff spot, no less) in the Dodgers’ series-opening 4-1 loss.

The Dodgers have called up Jason Repko, a middling outfielder, but Pierre’s misfortune could be the Dodgers shot to see their future, and perhaps enhance their present. If you ask me, they're better off in the short- and long-term with Kemp and Ethier out there on a daily basis--they're bound to improve, while Jones and Pierre seemed bound for The Tank.
