Okay, I know, I've been MIA lately.  Hey, you try raising five kids and keep up with the house, and all of your blogs!  I will try harder to be visible around here.  After all, I have alot to say!  :O)

So, the Dodgers got off to a rocky start this season, then they went on a fabulous win streak (Can you believe how well Blake Dewitt is doing?) then their bats went cold, then they picked up again, now they are cold again?

If we can just keep our batters hitting (and hitting when there are runners in scoring position!) as well as our pitchers keeping their ERA's low (hello, Derick Lowe, what is going on with you?) then maybe, we could make up some of the ground that we have lost to the Diamondbacks....

Blake Dewitt is outstanding when his bat is working, granted he still needs to work on his defense, what is it with all of his errors lately? Juan Pierre is doing excellent both offensively and defensively. Kemp and Ethier could be doing better while they are at the plate. Furcal needs to get healthy, and what the heck is going on with James Loney? Geez Loney, how many times have you thrown a ball to second base? So, why are you over throwing Hu by like a mile? Can't blame Hu, you are just not on your game man. C'mon.

Can you believe that spring training is almost here?  Personally, I"m ecstatic, but not just because that means that baseball season is quickly coming.  Nope, I'm excited because this year, we are planning a trip to Arizona to watch a few spring training games!!!  Talk about fun!  We will probably leave the kids at home with my mom, so that we can fully enjoy the experience (without having to plan all kinds of entertaining side trips).  The kids don't really care about baseball until the season actually starts and they get to head to Chavez Ravine.

By now, I'm sure you all have heard that Don Mattingly has stepped down as Dodger Batting Coach.  This kind of saddens me, but at the same time, you have to respect the guy for choosing to deal with his family issues ahead of baseball.  The new guy is Mike Easler, who apparently was the Triple A batting coach in Vegas.  Hopefully he does a good job, we need our Dodgers bats to be on fire this season!
