Los Angeles Dodgers use small ball versus Chicago Cubs

The Dodgers are notorious for their streaks.  Ok, let me be more specific.  The Dodgers are notorious for their losing streaks.  These streaks usually occur directly after hope and positivity radiate through the hearts of the fans.  This season they may be breaking the taboo......

It is obvious the Dodgers are producing runs.  Afterall, we are the best team in all of baseball.  The way we have been scoring these runs, however, is by utilizing baseball the way it was meant to be played..... Small Ball.  The Dodgers have almost the least amount of Home Runs of any team thus far, yet we have the most Runs Batted In.  We also lead the league in doubles.  These numbers, along with our high team on base percentage is the reason we are the best in the west.... and the league for that matter.....

Last night was a perfect example of execution.  The Dodgers scored 5 runs in the first inning without a single home run.  A great double by Mark Loretta, and a multiplicity of singles gave Milton the confidence he needed to throw a scoreless 5 1//3 innings. The Dodgers went on to win 8-2.

Our amazing determination, age, and production by Juan Pierre and Orlando Hudson have secured us a current 10 game lead in the West and the best record in all of baseball.  This leads me to wonder..... do we really need Manny's juiced balls?

For now, no.  However, those juicy balls could single handedly secure us a spot in the pennant race come October.  If history has proven anything its to not count the Dodgers in no matter how well they may be doing.....

As my good friend and extreme fan, Craig, pointed out to me earlier, "As a realistic Dodger fan you know we are always a team with ups and downs.  In the immortal words of Winston Wolf from Pulp Fiction, "Let's not start sucking each others dicks quite yet".
