It's another great year as a Dodgers fan! We got Joe Torre in the off season, added a slugger who likes to strike out ( A. Jones ) at least it looks that way when he's all smiles... Then we add Casey Blake and Manny Ramirez to the line up and things don't look as bad as they could. With poor pitching and not getting enough runs, we have our work cut out for us.
During this past series with the Phillies, the Dodgers had a combined 36 hits for 5 runs, where the Phillies had 37 hits for 27 runs. Being outscored by 22 runs by a team we just swept at home is embarassing. We blow leads in late innings and struggle to gain control. Furcal, Penny, and Saito need to get healthy and get us back on track. Big Jon is a great pitcher but hasn't been the clutch closer we need him to be. With Only 31 games left and 3 behind Arizona we need our offense to pick it up and quit this "we win, az wins..we lose, az loses". They are just toying with my emotions by keeping us out of 1st place. They can't have 1st place all year long! So now is the time to strike before there is no going back. Wild Card is not even an option, so lets go Dodgers and pick up the pace!!
